It seems we've gotten to a point, where everything stops. We've apparently finished with the customs, and we're not doing anything about it yet.
Julian's just been in his Lab/office constantly for the past few days - he'd looked at the evidence we'd found at the airport, but that's it. I don't know what he's working on but some part of me tells me that it's not about the murder.
Alastor has been more secretive than usual. He's gone most of the time too now, for the past few days. I don't know what they're up to but the silence is making me nervous.
Wedge has been in with Julian, but she's at the cemetery at the moment. So that leaves me here. I've thought about the answers that the victim's co-workers gave me, I've been looking into his house and other background but nothing stands out. Other than that, since there is little else to do, I've just stayed here and played with Kenai.
I might ask Wedge what's going on soon, once she gets back.

At the Airport
Yeah so we've been looking at the Airport for signs of what this guy was looking at. What he had found that caused him to die.
Wedge and Alastor are looking into the packages that have come through since Ramah's accident. I'm not sure what they've found, but Alastor is looking concerned. I can see it even though he wears sunglasses most of the time. I think there is something about the Uranium that went missing. Julian is looking into the man's background, looking at where he lived and such. I'm talking with the people that work here if they noticed anything strange going on. So far, all I've found is that he was well liked with his co-workers in the night shift. He worked in the international cargo section, and disappeared after one night when he was working alone - his friend was sick.
We're leaving here in a few hours to collate data.

Explanation of the Past (and murder)
Murder!
But in seriousness, we had a murder case to deal with the past couple of days. Wedge said that she was alerted to it, and investigated because of a nemisis of hers being involved. She took me with her, to the crime scene. We walked past the police tape and the police that were there didn't take too kindly to that. I hadn't realised before that all the muder cases we'd worked on so far hadn't been ones that happened in the very present, and we haven't had to deal with the police before. Well I haven't, they may have excluded me from those crimes. Wedge gave them a stern look when they told us to leave, and reached into her large overcoat and pulled out what I assume was a badge. The police looked at it, and then backed off. One even pointed us in the direction of the body. She didn't say anything, but just kept walking as if it was her right to be there - maybe it was? I asked Wedge how the police just let her in when we weren't known by anyone.
While walking to the building, she explained (somewhat hurriedly) that the government actually did know about them. It was an overload of information, but this is what I got from it: the highest members of world governments (not all, but many of the powerful international bodies) are aware of their existence. They don't know much about them at all, or about Nine (or the others), but they do know what Wedge and her team do. They know that we protect lives and society, and answer to no one. Long ago, apparently members from all the Sectors approached the leaders in a world meeting and revealed their existence. They stated their stance, that they intended to protect humanity and the Earth. And that there were forces out there beyond their knowledge or ability with only one intent: to destroy their civilisation. So a deal was struck, in writing, that as long as the members of the Sectors still existed, they would be given unlimited access to anything they required. In return, the "Guardians" as they were called, would protect society from destruction caused not only by the unseen enemy but any other serious threats. The contract became void should any of the Guardians cause more harm than good. I'm sure it was written out really formally, and explained much better, but that's the basic idea.
So that explains how Wedge and the others have unrestricted access to databases, secret areas etc. and can fund their operations. Aparantly they have a credit account that they charge things to as they require which the international governments pay for. Obviously they keep it reasonable. And a badge/card that allows access to all areas and to take control over any party - unquestioned. Which when you think about it - is the most power anyone has in the world. And I understand now why they are so secretive with me, and haven't allowed me to join them completely - it's a huge responsibility for me, and a huge risk for them.
I'm getting sidetracked, aren't I? So yes, the actual murder was fairly simple. I say simple, but I mean ... bland? It was just a guy in an empty room. He had been injured slightly, and there was the strangest mark sliced into the centre of his chest. Wedge will probably go into it more, it's not really my place to talk about the murder itself. There aren't many clues as to who did this and why. Wedge seems to know who, but the why is fuzzy. Even 'how' is a little unclear.
But gah, the information while walking there was just a slap in the face of realisation.

Moving
Wedge helped move my things into my new apartment. It's actually not an apartment, it's like... a little house inside a corridor of little houses where the front door is in a hall instead of a street. Ok maybe it is an apartment? But there is only one floor. It's lovely, much better than were I was living anyway.
Crazy night though - we'd finished moving everything, and decided to go to the Thai place that we all used to eat at. Dinner was awesome; the food was fantastic (particularly after a hard day's moving), and the conversation was the best in months. We laughed a lot. Some people looked at us weird, but I didn't care. I guess they thought that we were out on a date or something... people have a strange fascination of applying their standards upon everyone else. I'll admit, I'm a pretty average bloke... young, tallish, reasonably slim but with good muscle tone, fairly white skin with dark straight hair. Not what everyone considers 'hot' but still I'd say quite attractive. Whereas Wedge - well I think she's gorgeous, but she is fairly overweight...and that's all people see. It's heartbreaking. I can tell it bothers her sometimes, but tries to ignore it. I don't mention it with her, but she's cool about it. I don't get it though... her short, dark brown hair has lively waves and she is very well proportioned limb wise, has the most amazing blue eyes, and does have a lot of muscles as well for a woman, but people only see the excess lipid she carries in her adipose tissues? (Thanks Julian for that one :P) But it's her mind, her heart, her soul that is absolutely captivating - even if she doesn't see it. For me at least. BUT... I'm straying from the crazy part!
So we finished dinner, and were just talking at the table with some water, when Julian calls Wedge. Her face goes serious, and says we have to leave once she hung up. Without waiting for an answer, she gets up and pays for the meal while I'm still standing up from the table! Then rushes out, beckoning me to follow. She explained that Ramah had been injured, and Julian needed help in surgery...so she had to get there in time to help. I didn't have a chance to ask questions - such as not knowing she was a surgical nurse, what had happened, and who was Ramah anyway... or even, in the back of my mind, how she paid for dinner.
Somehow the surgery was classified, so she had to leave me at my dorm while we walked through into Nine. I never questioned, but I don't really see how it could be?
I hope I get some answers, but I won't hold it against them if they don't give me any.

Job End
So I've quit my job. The hours didn't suit working with the guys in Sector Nine. Ok well I didn't quit so much as change my job with the same people, to something much more part time and not the same position.
Yeah it's a little stressful, living here and paying rent with only a part time income, but I'll manange. Maybe if they like me, they'll let me live in Sector Nine like they do. I never really thought abouyt it - how do they afford anything? They don't get paid for what they do...as far as I know... and they have so much stuff that would have required purchasing at some point, even if just for the materials.
Will have to ask.

Waiting
I feel like I'm just waiting for my life to resume. I didn't have much of one before meeting Wedge. But since becoming friends with her... it all changed. And that was who I wanted to be - making a difference. Having a secret life. I haven't done much since she left. Sure I can go into Nine sometimes, but not a lot. They never let me into all of it before, and less once she was gone.
So here I am, just waiting.
So here I am, just waiting.

Hello!
I'm Arthur. I can't say my last name... all secret and the like. But my alias is King Arthur of Scotland....originally it was just Arthur of Scotland, but everyone (mainly just Wedge) made the joke of calling me King Arthur this one time...there was a crown and a throne in this old castle...the details aren't important. What is important is that the name stuck - so now I'm King Arthur of Scotland. Cause I am from Scotland. I don't like how it makes me sound all pompous but what can you do? Doesn't really matter anyhows cause everyone here is just known by one name.
Our little group got separated a long time ago. We were just a faction of a larger group (not that much larger, mind) out there in the real world, doing real world things. As opposed to those few that just sat back and watched. We did alright, really. Not all experts at anything in particular but we got the job done.
Ran into Julian today or yesterday - don't remember - and we had a quick chat. We'd kept in contact while we were 'decommissioned' as it were. Not by others, but by us. Turns out we're getting back together. Julian says it's time, and hell am I glad for it. I've been that darn bored with doing nothing when I know what's out there. I can tell Alastor's not been too happy about it all either, since I can see him getting stressed at times when he thinks I'm not looking.
Main thing is: Wedge is coming back! I bet everyone else has already been talking about it, but I have to say it too. She's like my best friend. I'm probably just a work collegue to her, maybe friend. But I don't care. So yes, thus dawns the age of the blog it seems. I don't know why we didn't embrace it sooner. Maybe because we felt like they were diaries (well I did) that we were sharing to the world? Or maybe because we thought that no one would read them? I don't know. But it's good now. I like it. I think. Not that sure, never written a blog before. But I like keeping updated on things, and it's nice to see different perspectives on events. Alastor would call it a good opportunity for comparative analysis. Though I don't really see him writing much. It's Julian's blog that concerns me - he's going to be updating it every hour about whatever it is he gets up to. I was curious once, but not anymore - I realised the majority of it is downright boring. Like I don't care about the progression of blood cell deterioration under the influence of microfreezing. Yet it somehow deserved 10 minute email updates last time he looked at it. At least now I can choose to look at it, and sift out the medical stuff.
I might be the outsider of the group, the one that doesn't enjoy intellectual stimulation as much, but I still partake in it. Mostly. Best be off, Julian's coming to use the Lab and he won't want me here on the computer distracting him. Maybe he'll show me how to find Wedge's blog soon. And the others....aparantly they have them.
